Great service and atmosphere! Quality brews, their Storm IPA stands out even though I personally prefer darker beers (porters and stouts). While the selection is fairly small, 5-6 beers to tap, they have a nice variety. This cute, cozy nanobrewery is a wonderful hangout spot in downtown Leesburg.
Could've been better and was certainly expecting more. Went with my wife yesterday soon after they opened. One other group of four walked in just ahead of us so there was plenty of room and we were the first customers of the day. No greeting whatsoever... We sat there as the other group asked a few basic questions and got the bare minimum response. They got two tastings and I finally had to ask for one myself. The guy, I'd tell you who he was except he didn't bother introducing himself, poured the beers and said they go in order of the list on the chalkboard. Now if it was me and my business I'd be explaining the beers and maybe saying something about the process that's unique etc, but this guy said nothing. He didn't even check to see how I liked them or anything.
And the beers...meh. Could've been better. A red kolsch that should've been cooler was lacking crispness. Some sort of Belgian single was too dark and no real flavor. This dark fruity (raspberry?) one was uninteresting as well. The citrus Weiss was the only standout they had. In the end we settled up ($10.95...a bit pricey and tasting prices aren't listed to give you a heads up..also $9.95 would feel better) and left without the guy saying anything.
Not really slamming the place but he/they certainly whiffed on the hospitality and educational part of the business. Make me feel welcome, seem interested in what you have to offer, and get people excited about what you're doing.
