Wells Bombardier (English Premium Bitter)

This is perhaps the most English looking beer bottle that I have seen. The only thing that could trump it were the Queen standing upon Big Ben with a steak and kidney pie. The English crest stands proud here, with a red and white shield that displays the brewery and beer name. Regal. Bombardier pours a copper red color. Slight caramel and raisin notes makes themselves known on the aroma. The body is effervescent and tingly, and holds flavors of herbs, some bread, and a minor hint of caramel malts. It's fairly straightforward in its construction. There is nothing overpowering here, it's all simply balanced. Again, very quintessentially British, isn't it? I bet this beer could stand in queue for hours. Bombardier makes a great pub beer, and will be on the list to seek out again and again.
Beer Description from Brewery
Savour the distinct aroma, then surrender to the perfect balance of malty richness, tangy hops and sultana fruit on the palate. Our own natural mineral water, the ripest English fuggles hops and crushed crystal malt deliver this experience of England in a glass. Brace yourself for a long soft spicy finish. Bang On!
